BHOPAL: High Court has rejected the petition filed by the five chief engineers, four superintended engineers and 25 others. Economic Offence Wing had filed the case against the 48 accuses of the irrigation department in corruption case of Rs 600 crore.
EOW had filed the case against the officials of Gwalior, Bhind, Datia, Shivpuri involved in the Sindh river project and its canal constructions. A complaint was filed to the EWO and after investigation, the EOW registered the case under sections of IPC and corruption act. Twenty-five accused filed the revision petition in the HC. After hearing, the court quashed the petition and stated that they should face the trail court hearing.
