BHOPAL: The guest lecturers took to road to after they were denied permission for holding a demonstration for regularisation on Sunday.
Youth Congress state chief Kunal Chaudhary came out in their support. Later, they called off their agitation. Heavy police force was deployed to avoid untoward incident.
Chaudhary said, “There are 1.70 lakh guest lecturers in the state. The BJP government had promised them for regularisation. At present they are getting just Rs 100 per lecture. Even semi skilled man gets Rs 175 in MANREGA. So condition of guest lecturers are worst than MANREGA workers. We will continue to raise their issue.”
Youth Congress leader Chaudhary said, “Even the BJP had mentioned in election manifesto to regularise the guest lecturers. But it befooled them. Still their demands have not been fulfilled.
