Gandhwani: Keeping up the pomp and festive spirit, Hanuman jayanti was celebrated with grandeur on Tuesday with several shobha yatras (procession) and events organised in different parts of the state.
In Gandhwani, a huge crowd of devotees thronged the local Hanuman Temple located 9 km away from the district headquarters to take blessings from the god. Usually the temple is crowded on Saturdays for seeking Balwari Baba’s blessings but on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti every year the Hanuman temple gets crowded with devotees since morning.
This year there was a Hanuman yagya on Monday and Tuesday. After completing the religious rituals a mass feast was organised at around 10:30 am.
Ratlam: Under the auspices of Hanuman Janmotsava Samiti and Sanatan Dharma Mahasabha, a grand procession and ‘kalash yatra’ was taken out to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti here on Tuesday. ‘Kalash yatra’ commenced from Kalika Mata Mandir and a large number of women carrying pots on their head participated in the procession. The yatra passed through important roads of the city and reached Ram mandir where Swarupanandji Maharaj, Gopaldasji Maharaj and Narmadanandji Maharaj delivered religious discourses.
Sanawad: On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, a mass feast was organised here on Tuesday. Various Hunuman temples of the town were decorated as hundreds of devotees thronged them since early in the morning fro prayers. Devotees organised ‘Maruti nandan yagya’ here at Bus Stand situated Rameshwar Hanuman temple. Temple priest Ashish Joshi informed that a three-day religious programme was organised here at temple which started on Sunday. At Juna Bazar situated Shri Khedapati Hanuman temple, morning aarti was orgnaised in which temple priest and devotees performed abhishek with cane sugar juice.
Khandwa: Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated in the city with complete devotion. The rituals of chola and decoration took place at every major temple of town at 4 am in the morning. Devotees kept visiting various temples including Khedapati Hanuman, Panchmukhi Hanuman, Padawa Hanuman, Badabam Hanuman temples right from early morning where worship and aarti followed by feasts took place. SP Navneet Bhasin, CSP Sheshnarayan Tiwari, TI Anil Sharma along with large number of residents visited Moghat station’s Hanuman temple.
Dharampuri: Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated in the region with pomp and fervour. Devotees visited the temples right from the morning which were specially decorated with flowers, garlands and lights. Chaitanya Hanuman temple, Prabhudas Maharaj Ashram Khujava and other temples witnessed religious events along with hymns, ‘sundarkand’ and Hanuman Chalisa recital.
A grand aarti and prasad distribution ceremony along with wonderful fireworks were organised at 12 pm at Chaitanya Hanuman temple by Hanuman Utsav Committee.
Khetia: Rokdiya Hanuman Devotees Board celebrated Hanuman Jayanti with devotion and enthusiasm at Rokdiya Hanuman temple, 2 km from the city. They conducted all the rituals followed by worship and grand feast was organised on municipality’s Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garden premises where around 8-10 thousand devotees joined in. Similarly, all the rituals also took place at Hanuman temple situated at Hanuman Chowk. Ramayan was also read from night to next morning on the occasion followed by mahaarti and prasad distribution. A grand procession with music and band was also taken out with the support of Bajrang group.
