Bhopal: Chancellor of state universities and Governor Anandiben Patel asked the students to look into management aspect of Kumbh and do research on the mega event. She was speaking at convocation ceremony at Barkatullah University on Monday.
“There are several traditional topics on which research are being done, students should also think about doing PhD in events like Kumbh. The event of this magnitude is held only in India and research needs to be done on managing such events successfully,” advised the university chancellor.
Earlier, during meet of all VCs too, Governor had asked the Vice Chancellors of Universities to visit Prayagraj to take a holy dip in Kumbh and conduct some research work on it.
Governor expressed her concern over the way families, community and society was being disintegrated. “Big families and communities have been our strength but now it is disintegrating, students should include it in their research work,” she suggested.
Chairman (in-charge) NAAC Virendra Singh Chouhan said that students should contribute in society building along with their careers. Higher education minister, Jitu Patwari said that India is proud to have Guru-Shishya tradition and convocation ceremony further strengthens this feeling. He also stressed on need for skill development as this was the demand of time.
