Bhopal: Making amendment in ‘Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojana’ the state government has decided to extend the benefit of the scheme to the students scoring 1,50,000 rank in JEE Mains Examination. Earlier, students scoring 50,000 rank were given the benefit.
The students scoring 70% or more marks in class 12th examination of MP Board of Secondary Education in 2018-19 session and the students scoring 85% or more in class 12th of CBSE/ICSE will also get the benefits of the scheme. The fee of students taking admission in government engineering colleges and of the students taking admission through NEET in medical colleges will be paid by the government.
The doctors studying in government medical college would be required to sign a contract to work in rural areas for a period of two years and also sign a bond of Rs 10 lakh. The fee of students taking admission in National Law Universities and Delhi University through CLAT will be paid by the government. The students availing the benefit of the scheme have to complete the course in set time limit; otherwise the benefits would be stopped.
