Bhopal: Chief Secretary SR Mohanty said the government did not actually intend to shift the commissioner and collector of Ujjain, but their failure to guess, that lakhs of people would gather in the holy city on the occasion of Shani Amawasya, was the reason for their transfer. Mohanty made the above remark in a video-conferencing at Mantralay on Monday.
They should have assumed that lakhs of people would gather in the city on that occasion and that there should be enough water in the river for bathing, he said.

About waiving of crop loan, he told the collectors to solve all the problems on their own and not to bring it to Bhopal.
The implementation of ‘Chief Minister Crop Loan Waiver Scheme’ will begin on Tuesday, he said and directed the collectors to ensure, that the application forms of the Scheme should be available at village panchayats on that day. Mohanty said it should also be ensured that green and white lists be pasted at all village panchayats by January 18. Mohanty also sought information about application forms from collectors of remote districts. He said all activities at district-level should be done within time limit as payment to farmers should be done from February 22.

Principal secretary, farmers welfare, Dr Rajesh Rajora gave presentation on scheme implementation. He said the scheme would be implemented through 7,500 branches of 25 banks across the state. Applications forms, which are in green, white and pink colours, would be filled offline. Nodal officers should write the serial number of green list at the time of receiving the green application form. The names of 40 lakh farmers will be uploaded on cmlws@mponline.gov.in. The process of downloading of green and white lists, village panchayat-wise, and pasting them, has been prepared. The status of application received will be reviewed daily. The displayed lists should have names of farmers in Hindi.
