Bhopal: The tenure of IPS officer Abhay Singh at the CBI has been curtailed by two years, according to an official order issued on late Wednesday. Singh, a 2002 batch IPS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, was posted in Rancni, at the level of DIG. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved premature repatriation of Singh with immediate effect, the order said without citing further details. ‘Placement of services of DIG CBI Abhay Singh at the disposal of Ministry of Home Affairs consequent of tenure/ repatriation from CBI,’ the stated the order. The services of Singh have been placed at the disposal of the Union Home Ministry, the order said.
