Bhopal: Four women among 13 arrested

Bhopal: Ashoka Garden police and crime branch claimed that in a joint operation, which was carried out on the basis of a tip-off, over thirteen persons including four women involved in a sex racket were arrested from a house in Ashok Vihar under Ashoka Garden police station on Wednesday. 

The nabbed men accused were identified as Santosh Meena (26), Bittu Shukla(28), Sonu Sharma(27), Shivam Prajapati(22), Santosh Tiwari, Pawan Sahu(32), Neeraj Khateek (28), Rajesh Mehra(28) while most women who have been arrested are in their thirties.

Neeraj Khateek and Jitendra Khateek hail from Vidisha, Santosh Tiwari is from Hoshangabad, Rajesh Mehra is belongs to Sanchi while other men are from Bhopal. Police claimed that at the time of raid the men and women were found to be in compromising position.

SHO Ashoka Garden police said that the house was rented around a month ago and based on the complaints made by the locals, the action was taken. The women used to contact customers and would change place where the flesh trade was operated to evade suspicion and arrest, he added.   They have been booked under relavant sections of prevention of immoral trafficking PITA.
