Bhopal: Fix consultation timings in government hospitals from 9am to 4pm says Kamal Nath

BHOPAL: Chief Minister Kamal Nath said on Thursday that the consultation timings in government hospitals should be fixed from 9am to 4pm.  Nath made the above statement while reviewing the work of Public Health Family Welfare Department at Mantralay on Thursday. Minister for Health Tulsi Silavat also attended the meeting. He also asked the government hospitals to directly recruit experts to bolster health services in the state. Chief Minister Kamal Nath directed the officials for it and said people have the right to good health.

He asked the officials of the department to set up of diagnostic centers on the hospital premises with private sector collaboration. Nath laid stress on the need for better coordination between the Departments of Medical Education and Public Health Family Welfare. He asked the authorities concerned to make special efforts to secure maximum funds for health care under the Corporate Social Responsibility Funds. The Chief Minister said that well-designed initiatives should be taken to improve health indicators and reducing maternal and infant mortality should be given top priority.

He also said that upgrading the health facilities is a must for achieving the status of Healthy Madhya Pradesh. He launched the MDPS Web Service. Chief secretary S R Mohanty, principal secretary public health Pallavi Jain Govil, secretary Rajiv Dubey and commissioner of health Nitesh Vyas were present at the meeting.
