BHOPAL: Power production and supply remained was shut down from National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Singrauli, from 10.00am following fire in 7 no-generator transformer on Sunday. However, fire was put off in just 15 minutes but NTPC administration claimed that it takes time to revive the plant production and power supply.
Power plant was not fully functioning till filing the report. Public relation office Satish Shrivastava said, “The fire which broke out at generator(transformer) – 7, was put off in just 15 minutes but entire unit was shut down for safety reasons. Power production and supply remained shutdown throughout the day.
It will be fully revived by the Monday.” Earlier, all teams were pressed to control fire. According to police, NTPC is fully equipped in terms of fire safety so it does not dependent on local body. Municipal Corporation and District administration were neither consulted nor contacted for help.
