BHOPAL: An FIR has been lodged against four youths and several others for allegedly raising pro-Modi slogans during roadshow of Computer Baba along with other saints in support of Congress leader Digvijaya Singh’s roadshow in Old city area of state capital on Wednesday. Four people – Kallu, Ghanshyam, Rajesh and Pappu – were booked under sections 147,188 and 127 of the IPC. The case has been lodged in the Kotwali Police station area. The youth started shouting Modi, Modi in the road show of Digvijaya and Namdas Tyagi, also known as Computer Baba. In Bhopal, polling will be held on May 12 and counting of votes will take place on May 23.
Modi-slogan raisers BJP paid workers: Oza
Meanwhile, Congress state media president Sobha Oza alleged that pro-Modi slogan raisers were paid workers of the BJP. “Whenever and wherever Congress organises their event such people arrives and raise pro Modi slogans,” she added.
Cops don saffron scarf!
Interestingly, a few cops, who were in civil dress, were seen sporting saffron scarf as they walked shoulder to shoulder with sadhus at the road show. The police personnel, including women, refused to answer when inquired about their saffron scarfs. Sources said women and men constables in civil dress donning saffron scarfs were made to mingle with others in the rally to keep a vigil
