The Facebook live conducted by Election Commission on Monday proved to be informative and entertaining. One of the Fb user said that he supports vehicle checking but is against extortion made in name of checking. His query remained unanswered.

All enquiries related to voting process, voter card and violations of model code were answered but questions related to action taken on violation of MCC in assembly elections remained unattended in Fb live session taken by Additional CEO, Abhijeet Agarwal on Monday from 5pm.

A Fb user Tikaram Jharia said, ‘Sir ji chunav ayog ke pas paiso ki kami hai kya jo sadako par vahan checking k naam par vasooli kar rahe hai…vahan checking zaroori hai, vasooli nahi…hum vana checking ka samarthan karte hai aur vasooli ka virodh (Has election commission gone short of funds that it is extorting money in name of vehicle checking. Vehicle checking is important no extortion…we support vehicle checking and protest against extortion).’ However, his query remained unattended.

There were two visible groups asking questions- one related to non-payment of honorarium to IT team and other one asking about action taken on violations of MCC during assembly elections.  Kirti Tiwari asked that all mobile applications used by election commission like suvidha, sugamya, cVigil, genesys etc are attended by the IT team but they are not paid honorarium like another teams engaged in elections. Why? Same question was asked by Azad Tikamgarhi, Neeraj Sharma and several others.

Tanveer Warsi asked why no action was taken against director general of MPCoST Navin Chandra, found guilty of violation of MCC. Principal of a central school from Rajgarh was recorded in a video doing campaign of Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Despite complaint with evidence no action was taken against him. Why? Jitendra Jain, Rising MP and several others asked the same question- to no avail.

Address queries on voter enrolment
CEO Agarwal effectively replied on how to ensure voters’ name in the list. Sarjana Chaturvedi said that she lives in Bhopal but her name figures in electoral roll in Itarsi. Can I vote in Bhopal, she asked. Agarwal replied that she can fill Form 6 and her name could be added in Bhopal and then she can vote. People can get their names added in voters list 10 day prior to gazette notification, he added.
