Bhopal: Economic Offence Wing has registered a case against former CEO of Nagar Palika of Vidisha and a contractor in connection with a forgery case. EOW, Bhopal booked the then CEO RK Kartiyan, contractor Brijendra Verma and others on charges of forgery.
CEO and contractor conspired and executed the shifting of high tension line on forged documents. The said shifting was scheduled to be carried out by MPMCVV Company, but the CEO floated the tender and allotted it to a contractor Chandan Jatav, who had not participated in the tendering process. Verma took the work in the name of Jatav’s firm and made agreement through fake and forged papers.
He even purchased the stamps in the name of Jatav, and during the signing of the contract, even forged his signature. The matter was reported to the police and the QD section of the department conducted the verification of the signature and hand writing and stamp papers.
The police found that the Brijendra had signed the agreement posing as a Chandan, the police had also found his hand writing also matched with the writing in the documents. Police have registered the case under section 420,467,468,471,120-B of IPC and 13(1)D and 13 (2) of corruption act.
