Ex-minister Chaudhary Rakesh Singh has come back to Congress. He had quit Congress to join BJP six years ago. Singh took membership of Congress in front of MP Jyotiraditya Scindia in Shivpuri on Saturday. Singh said BJP was suffering from Hitlershahi (dictatorship).

Singh in the recent assembly polls had contested from Bhind seat on BJP’s ticket. Singh lost the elections against Bahujan Samajwadi Party candida te. There were speculations before assembly polls over Singh rejoining Congress but the objection of ex-leader of opposition came in the way of his homecoming. Singh joining Congress has come as a shock to the BJP in Morena and Bhind. Singh’s brother, Mukesh Chaturvedi had also been a BJP MLA.
Singh had joined BJP in 2013 opposing no-confidence motion brought by Congress party in state assembly. He had quit Congress alleging that feudal forces had become dominant in the party. The then leader of opposition Ajay Singh was highly annoyed on Singh’s turning his back on the party when it has moved the no-confidence motion.
