Bhopal: A 30-year-old man committed suicide in Riviera Township Phase II, which falls under the limit of Kamla Nagar police station. The man who committed suicide on Tuesday has been identified as Vibhore Dube, who is said to be nephew of Vyapam accused and former state culture minister Laxmikant Sharma. The deceased lived in the house alone with a servant called Gopesh Kurmi.

Kurmi told police that he served food to Vibhore Dube in the afternoon. When he came again at 6.30 pm, he found the door locked form inside. So, Kurmi left to purchase some household items from New Market and later returned at about7.30 pm. He again knocked the door. When repeated knocks did not evoke any response from inside, he went to call one of the acquaintances Sushil Sharma.

Sharma, a resident of Kotra Sultanabad, reached after sometime. He also knocked the door and suspecting that something was wrong, he informed police. Meanwhile, the neighbours also gathered at the spot. The police broke open the door only to find Vibhore Dube hanging from a ceiling fan.

He was taken to Hamidia Hospital for postmortem. The members of his family including his father arrived at the hospital from Vidisha. According to sources, the house in which he was living is registered in the name of Girija Shankar Sharma. Till filing of this report, police were clueless as to what drove Dube to take the extreme step as he has not left any suicide note. He did he discuss any problem with anyone.
