Amitav Singh (42), who was an S-I in 2000, was promoted to the rank of inspector later. But his services were terminated in 2014 following allegations against him.
Ratibad SHO Aditi Bhawsar said Amitabh was separated from his wife and now lives with his mother, Shalini Singh in Pooja Colony where the incident took place. She said Amitabh had some issues with his wife and there were allegations leveled against him by his wife as well.
