BHOPAL: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), probing the ISI espionage case, has identified 10-15 employees of two mobile service providing companies, who are suspected of helping the agents of the Pakistani intelligence service to run the private telephone exchanges and sending the information to their handlers in Pakistan.
The ATS has issued notices to the mobile service providers. IG, ATS, Sanjiv Shami, talking to media persons in a press conference held on Thursday, had said that without the help of the private mobile service providing companies’ employees the private telephone exchange cannot be operated.
The ATS had identified some of the employees of two mobile companies, who provided SIM cards and password to access the mobile network.
The ATS busted at least 13 private illegal telephone exchanges around the state. The agents were using one SIM number for making three calls only, after which they dumped the SIMs. This was done to hide the identity of the caller and also keep themselves safe from being caught.
