Bhopal: Election Commission notice to Navjot Singh Sidhu for calling Modi ‘deshdrohi’

BHOPAL: Election Commission has issued notice to Congress’s star campaigner Navjot Singh Sidhu for his statements against PM Modi in an election rally in Bhopal.  Sidhu in an poll meeting in Bhopal on April 29 had said that Modi had stolen money from government banks and asks the (bank defaulters) rich to flee. He had said, “Tumne jam ke khaya aur Ambani ko thok ke khilaya….tumne Rs 30,000 crore ki ghoos li ki nahi….aye the tum 2014 me Ganga ke lal banke jab jaoge tum 2109 me rafale ke dalal banke….kya bat karte ho Narendra Modi tum. Tum se bada rashtradrohi koi dekha nahi.’  Sidhu, in his meeting targeted Modi and levelled serious charges against him. He said that Modi benefited Ambani, took bribe of Rs 30,000 crore. He (Modi) will be known as rafale’s broker, there is no anti-national bigger than Modi, said Sidhu. Sidhu has been given 24 hours time to reply.
