Bhopal: The coaching institutes and other education centers will be inspected by the administration to ensure safety of students, in the wake of fire in Surat that claimed 20 lives. Concerned with the incident, four teams have been formed by divisional commissioner Kalpana Shrivastav to monitor the safety measures in place at educational institutions in Bhopal. The team led by joint collector Sudheer Nayar will inspect the institutes in areas in MP Nagar and Mansarowar complex. The team led by SDM of MP Nagar area Rajesh Gupta will inspect buildings in MP Nagar Zone 1, Malviya Nagar and New Market. The team led by deputy collector Shashwat Meena will inspect the educational institutes in Indrapuri, Sonagiri and Awadhpuri and Raisen road.
The team Sanju Kumari, deputy commissioner tax will inspect institutes in Ashoka garden, Bairagarh and Karond for inspection of buldings where the institutes are running. In an order, Shrivastav said that the teams have to ensure that educational institutes have all the fire safety arrangements in place in the premises, along with status of disaster management compliance. The institutes will also have to ensure sanitation, emergency gate, barrier at the main gate, the situation of lift in the institute, timing of entry and exit in the hostel, potable water and toilet, parking, power, security guard, other facilities required for the children and if the permission required to run a coaching have been procured or not.
