BHOPAL: The district and sessions court on Sunday sent five accused, nabbed by the Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS) for running the ISI module in the state, on judicial remand till February 27. All of them have been sent to Bhopal Central jail. The ATS had arrested 11 accused involved in spying for Pakistan on Thursday from Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Satna.
These ISI agents were allegedly collecting information related to army movement and security information and sending them to Pakistan. In exchange they were getting huge amount of money based on importance of their information sent to Pakistan. The mastermind of the espionage racket Balram Singh was arrested from Satna, who had got training in Dubai some two years back.
On Thursday, the ATS had presented six accused in the court in Bhopal from where five accused including Jitendra Singh Yadav, Jitendra Thakur, Kush Pandit, Ritesh Khullar and Trilochan Singh were sent on police remand till February 12. The mastermind of the ISI module, Balram was handed over to the ATS till February 14.
The remand of five accused ended on Sunday and the ATS presented them in the court. The court has ordered to send all five accused on judicial remand of till February 27 and they have been sent to Bhopal central jail. Balram Singh will be present in the court on Tuesday.
