Bhopal: Eco-tourism fest begins at Dholawad

RATLAM: Two-day long eco tourism festival commenced amid fanfare here at Dholawad on the back water of Dholawad dam in MP’s Ratlam district on Friday. Ratlam Paryatan Vikas Parishad and Eco Paryatan Vikas Samiti Dholawad have jointly organised the festival. Two day festival includes water sports, adventure activities and cultural programmes.

The dam, located in Raoti, at a distance of 25 km towards the west of Ratlam, is one of the major tourist attractions of Ratlam. The whole Dholawad area which is beautifully surrounded by reservoir and hilly places is divided in five zones for various activities. Fishing boats, water scooter, peddle boats, champu boat, engine boat, Dolphin riding and other activities are part of water sports. For mountain biking six cycles are made available at the venue.Two big sized LED have been installed for informing tourists about the activities which are part of eco tourism.

Faag utsav

Celebration of faag utsav continued in the city. On Thursday evening Khatu Shyam bhajan mandal presented bhajans at Dhan mandi corner and celebrated faag utsav.
