SHO Kolar Anil Bajpayee said that Dev Narayan Meena has left a suicide note mentioning the name of builder Chandu Motwani and also his mobile number. The famer held the builder responsible for his death, said the SHO. Jitendra Meena, nephew of the deceased farmer informed that a builder Motwani had fraudulently occupied his uncle’s farm land and got a building constructed over it.

The farmer remained ignorant about the illegal possession of his land until he started receiving notices from EOW and other agencies. On inquiring, Meena came to know that builder Motwani had illegally occupied his land and after constructing a building sold it off to a woman. On finding anomalies in the land documents, the woman had approached police and lodged a complaint. Jitendra informed that EOW had issued a notice to his uncle in connection with the land fraud. On Tuesday, Dev Narayan uncle was to appear before the EOW for the final hearing. However, his body was found hanging from the tree early morning at his field. Police have registered an FIR but are yet to take statements of deceased’s four sons and other family members.
