Dry and warm weather would continue to prevail in the state which is likely to experience a significant rise in day temperatures in the next 48 hours, said the Met department. Despite dry and warm weather across the state, there was nominal drop in day as well as night temperature in the state capital.
As per the meteorological department, an anti-cyclone over North Arabian Sea and dry northerly winds are expected to blow over the region, significant rise in day temperatures is likely in the next 48 hours, while weather would remain dry and very warm over Madhya Pradesh and other adjacent states.
Khargone recorded 38 degree Celsius, highest in the state while the night temperature in hill town Pachmarhi settled at 12.5 degree Celsius, lowest in the state. Pacharmhi recorded a fall of 4 degree Celsius in night temperature, while Khajuraho witnessed 2.8 degree Celsius drop. Similarly, night temperature fell by around 2 notches in Indore, Gwalior, Damoh and Rajgarh. Sidhi however recorded 3 Degree Celsius rise in night temperature.
Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 33.6 degree Celsius which was 1.4 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 17.4 degree Celsius which was 1.5 degree Celsius below normal. Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 33.6 degree Celsius which was 2.2 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 17.4 degree Celsius which was just below normal.
