Bhopal: Playing Dalit and women empowerment cards together, Congress may push for the name of Dr Vijaylaxmi Sadho, MLA from Maheshwar, for the coveted post of Assembly speaker. Chief Minister Kamal Nath will form his cabinet on Tuesday and over 12-15 ministers are likely to take oath. According to confirmed sources, Congress will propose the name of the four-time MLA and former member of Parliament Sadho for speaker post. The MLAs at the Assembly session will decide on her name and thereafter the house will vote for the speaker and deputy speaker.
The party is also mulling over Constituting an internal team of MLAs to assist the speaker in the assembly. After two-day deliberations with AICC president Rahul Gandhi and senior party functionaries, Nath and state leaders have finalised the 12-15 names for his council of ministers.
MLA Dr Govind Singh may get the agriculture and cooperative portfolios. He may also induct Tulsi Silawat, Sajjan Verma, Jaivardhan Singh, Bala Bachchan, Deepak Saxena,Jhooma Solanki, Kalpana Bhuria, Jeetu Patwari, Imarti Devi, Ajay Makan, KP Singh and others.
