Jobat: In order to educate farmers about cashless transaction, digital payment, a Kisan Connect programme was held here on Jobat situated Krishi Upaj Mandi campus on Wednesday.
Addressing the programme mandi president Devendra Shrivastava urged farmers to inculcate banking activities in their routine life and don’t bother to visit banks. He said that farmers should take benefits of various government schemes for their betterment. Jobat police station in charge Sureshchandra Mohare, traders association representative Ashok Tavli and traders and business association president Shantilal Vani were also present on the occasion.
Mandi secretary BL Choudhary who was also present on the occasion said that in the era of information and technology, computer and mobile usage made financial transaction very easy. Farmers can done most of their transactions on phones, it only need awareness for digital transaction. Police station incharge Mohare cautioned farmers about bogus investment schemes and informed them how bogus companies lure innocent farmers on the name of paying high dividend in a short term investment. Mohare informed farmers not to share ATM secrete code with anyone. The programme was conducted by Jagdish Rathore, while the vote of thanks delivered by mandi secretary Choudhary.
