BHOPAL: The second ‘Mukhyamantri Cup’ championship concluded on Thursday at TT Stadium. Bhopal division emerged winner in athletics, karate (girls) and wrestling (boys). Gwalior won volleyball (boys) while Ujjain won volleyball championship (girls).
Indore division won athletics (boys) while Bhopal division won athletics (girls). Bhopal division emerged victorious in wrestling (boys) while Indore division won wrestling championship (girls). Gwalior division won karate (boys) and Bhopal division won karate championship (girls). In football (boys), Narmadapuram division stood first. Indore division won football championship (girls).
The winning teams were given trophies and cash prizes by sports director, Upendra Jain. The teams securing first position in team events were given cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, teams bagging second position were given Rs 75000 while Rs 50,000 were given for third position. Similarly, the players securing first three positions were given cash prizes of Rs 10000, Rs 7000 and Rs 5000, respectively. The players from as many as ten divisions took part in the Championship.
