Union minister Uma Bharati has led a scathing counter-attack against Jaivardhan Singh over challenging her to contest from Bhopal constituency. Uma in her tweet wrote Digvijaya did injustice to Bhopal. She claimed that Singh had always caused an obstruction in Bhopal’s development. Uma’s name is doing rounds for contesting Lok Sabha elections from Bhopal. Her counter-attack is giving a clear indication that she may challenge Singh in the elections.
Uma wrote that she would not contest elections but would surely come for campaign against Singh. According to Uma, any BJP worker could defeat Digvijaya in elections. She claimed that she had announced bringing Narmada water to Bhopal when she was MP and former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, giving approval on Narmada Sagar dam, had made the relevant provision. Uma wrote that Digvijaya had made fun of this scheme and when he was Chief Minister, he had put obstacles in execution of the scheme. Uma said she had sanctioned the scheme when she became Chief Minister in 2003.
Uma claimed that Singh during his tenure as CM, had made 40,000 daily wagers jobless in one go but her government reinstated them. When Bhopal Airport was named Bhojpal, Singh got angry and did not attend the programme. Uma wrote that Singh did not leave any effort to insult Bhopal and its progress. Uma wrote that a person who did injustice to people of Bhopal has now entered the court of people. Uma said the people would take revenge by ensuring Singh’s defeat by a huge margin.
