BHOPAL: Nearly 500 school students, teachers, representatives from oil companies, dealers and distributors participated in inaugural ceremony of Saksham-2017 at Samanwaya Bhavan on Tuesday. The function was presided over by director general of police (DGP) Rishi Kumar Shukla.
Vigyan Kumar, state-level coordinator (SLC) for MP and GM, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd , MPSO elaborated vision of Saksham-2017 and briefed about the activities planned for maximum awareness among the masses. An appeal was given to common consumers in conserving fuel in their day to day life.
The messages from petroleum minister and petroleum secretary were read out before the audience by OMC. SLC and chief guest inaugurated a campaign van on this occasion which will be covering district headquarters of MP during Saksham-2017. The theme of Saksham-2017 is – “Indhan Sanrakshan Ki Jimmedari, Jangan Ki Bhagidari” It was urged to move towards “cleaner fuel for healthy public” by various social campaigns for enhancing the visibility of initiatives proposed during Saksham-2017.
