It will be wait of one more week for day temperatures to actually start dropping and mornings and nights to give Madhya Pradesh chills. Winters are going to commence soon. Since last afternoon, winds have changed their path and are now blowing from Northwest direction. These winds are coming from Jammu & Kashmir as well as Himachal Pradesh that have recently experienced heavy snowfall. Due to these icy cold winds, both day and night temperatures have already dropped by 2 degree Celsius to -4 degree Celsius.
Further, weatherman expects a significant fall in minimums over North MP. Hence, weather an says that winters are going to commence soon, although a wait of one more week is needed for day temperatures to actually start dropping and mornings and nights to give us chills.Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 29.3 degree Celsius while it recorded a minimum temperature of 16.4 degree Celsius. Pachmarhi recorded 8 degree Celsius. Mandla recorded 8.8 degree Celsius which was lowest in the state.
However, even in the middle of November, yet need of woolens is still not being felt in most parts of MP. Although, temperatures had dipped significantly around Diwali festival, yet an increase in both day and night temperatures was being noted. In fact, minimums have increased significantly since Diwali. The reason for this spike in temperatures can be attributed to the presence of one after the other Western Disturbances that had approached Western Himalayas.
According to meteorological department, we have to wait for one more week for actual chill in the state as now wind pattern is changing which will infuse the chill. Generally, whenever any Western Disturbance approaches from Jammu and Kashmir, it gets preceded by a warm front. As a result, winds change their directions and start blowing from South West and South East directions. These winds are warm and humid. Consequently, an increase in minimums is felt.
