Bhopal: Daily count sees a slight rise, but active cases drop; Positivity rate continues at 0.05 percent

BHOPAL: The State reported a slight rise in Covid-19 single day count on Thursday as 40 people were diagnosed with the infection taking the corona caseload to 7,89,844. On Wednesday, 33 new cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh. The state, however, continue to see a drop in number of active cases. The state had reported 570 active cases on Wednesday, but the figure dropped to 533 on Thursday.

Corona positivity rate continues to stand at 0.05 per cent.

The state corona caseload stands at 7,89,844 and toll 8981. Sixty five recovered patients were discharged from the hospitals on the day.†

Around 75,095 samples were sent for testing in the last 24 hours, of which 80 were rejected.

With 8 new cases, Indore infection tally as climbed to 1,52,846 and Bhopal reported 10 new cases, the caseload here stands at 1,23,138 and fatalities 972.

The numbers of active cases in Indore have dropped to 104 and the figure in Bhopal is 115.

Other major cities - Gwalior and Jabalpur recorded 1 and 2 corona cases respectively and their active cases are 11 and 14 respectively.

Betul reported 5 fresh cases. Dhar, Hoshangabad and Bhind reported 2 cases each and their active caseload are 9, 10 and 2 respectively.

Ratlam, Rewa, Satna,Balaghat, Barwani, Niwari reported just one corona case each while their active cases are 21,10,3,5,11 and 5 respectively.

The districts which did not see any new case coming include Burhanpur, Agar-Malwa, Alirajpur, Ashok Nagar, Sheopur, Khandwa, Dindori, Harda, Mandla, Guna, Umaria, Shajapur, Chhindwara, Morena, Damoh, Neemuch,††Dewas, Jhabua, Chhattarpur, Panna, Datia, Tikamgarh, Seoni, Singrauli, Rajgarh, Mandsaur, Sidhi,††Anuppur, Katni, Shahdol, Sehore, Narsinghpur, Vidisha, Shivpuri, Sagar and Ujjain.
