BHOPAL: The state government has hiked the dearness allowance (DA) of its employees by 2%. The hike in DA would be applicable from July, 2018.
The DA, payable as per the Seventh pay scale, will be given with the salary of July month, payable in August-2018, at the rate of 9%. Presently, a DA of 7% is given.
The hiked amount of the DA (July-2018 to February-2019) will be deposited in the general provident fund (GPF) account of the concerned government servants. The members of National Pension Scheme will be given cash payment of the hiked amount.
Sixth pay scale: DA hiked to 148%.
The rate of DA, according to the Sixth pay scale, with the salary of July-2018, payable in August-2018, will be 148%. Presently, the DA is 142%. There has been a hike of 6 per cent in the DA.
