Sanawad: Members of municipal council and corporators expressed their discontent over the laid back attitude of chief municipal officer Premkumar Suman towards ongoing development works in the town.

During a meeting, which was chaired by MLA Hitendra Singh Solanki, council members claimed that development works in the town were stalled and requested government to transfer Suman elsewhere to ensure that development works gain momentum in the town. During the meeting organised here at municipal council hall, Solanki said that the Chief Minister had sanctioned Rs 3 crores for different development works in the town.

After meeting Solanki called all municipal council employees and asked them to pay attention towards their duty as he had got lots of complaints from corporators about pending work in their respective wards. Corporator Kapil Jatale, Radheshyam Dewas, Dinesh Thekedar and others were present during the meeting.

Solanki said that immediate action will be taken against those who take their job lightly. When contacted Suman said Rs 3 crores has been sanctioned by the Chief Minister on recommendation of MLA Solanki. “We have asked departments to submit detailed project reports and suggestions for different development works,” he added.
