People close to Kamalnath are in touch with former minister Rakesh Singh, who had quit Congress to join BJP and MLA Narayan Tripathi.
District Panchayat, Rewa, President Abhay Mishra, who is husband of BJP MLA from Semaria, Neelam Mishra, has already joined Congress. Attempts are being made to bring Neelam into Congress.
Talks are underway with a minister who quit Congress and joined BJP and also with all those leaders, who could be brought back into Congress, to give shock to the BJP. Barring a few, all those who joined the BJP have faced disappointment. A list of such leaders has been prepared by Congress.
Besides, Congress is also keeping an eye on leaders who are dissatisfied within the BJP. The Congress is eying those MLAs, who could be denied ticket by the BJP. Such MLAs, on joining Congress may be fielded from the constituencies where Congress does not have candidates, having winning capability. The Congress is also working on leaders and activists who maintain equal distance from the Congress and the BJP. This has been done to pose problems before the BJP.
