Chief Minister Kamal Nath has termed the Congress manifesto ‘Hum Nibhyayge’ as a historic document. The Congress manifesto is a panacea for the poor, farmers and youths, said Nath. “If Congress formed the government 20 per cent people of the country will live a respectable distress-free life,” said Nath.
He assured that Congress after coming to power will generate employment in both private and government sectors. “In the public sector 34 lakh jobs will be created and under this 10 lakh jobs will be generated at the panchayat level. The reservation of 33 per cent for women will be given in the assemblies and GST will be rationalised.

BJP called the Congress manifesto which was released on Tuesday, as bunch of fake promises. The BJP state president Rakesh Singh slammed the Congress’s poll manifesto as “dangerous and a threat to Indian security. Congress have mentioned to withdraw AFSPA, which will curtail the powers of security forces working in the disturbed area, said Singh adding that it stinks of ‘backroom dealing with the separatists and terrorist of Kashmir. He asked from which account the Congress would arrange the funds for the ‘Naya’ scheme and how will it provide Rs 72,000 to a family in one year.
