Hitting out at Congress, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressing public meetings alleged that Congress governments, whether at the Centre or state, did scams and their ministers were called ‘Mister Ten Percent’. Terming the Congress leaders as visitors, Chouhan said they hardly know ground realities and the woes of the farmers.
Chouhan on Thursday addressed election rallies in Harda, Hoshangabad and Raisen districts. Assuring that farmers would be relieved from the burden of loan, Chouhan said that BJP has initiated ‘Samadhan Rin Yojana’ to waive off farm loans. “Ab tak khoob diya hey aur aage bhi dete rahengey (Have given plenty so far and would continue giving in the coming time),” said Chouhan.
Chief Minister did canvassing for party candidates including Sanjay Shah in Rahatgaon of Timarni constituency of Harda, Premshankar Verma in Seoni Malwa constituency of Hoshangabad, Vijaypal Singh in Sohagpur of Hoshangabad and Surendra Patwa in Badi of Bhojpur constituency in Raisen.
Attacking Congress, Chouhan alleged that Congress ruined the state. They are spreading confusion among people, the Congress leaders know to make tall claims and promises but do not know how to do fulfill them, said Chouhan. Congress leaders had promised farmers of Punjab and Karnataka about farm loan waiver but never fulfilled it, said Chouhan, cautioning the farmers not to get stuck in the stunts of Congress leaders, who are claiming to waive farm loans in ten days.
Chief Minister said Congress leaders were like visitors who do not know the problems of farmers of the state. Taking a dig at Congress national president Rahul Gandhi, Chouhan said that he mostly spends his time abroad and does not even know where onion grows. Chouhan vehemently attacked the Congress during election meetings. He alleged that during Congress regime there was immense corruption and scams. Chouhan claimed that Congress government ruined the state but the BJP government did the work of putting the state on the track of prosperity.
