BHOPAL: The Congress has raised questions on the statement given by an RSS office bearer to ‘bring the head of Kerala CM and take Rs 1 crore’, in Ujjain on Wednesday. The RSS also distanced itself from the statement claiming it was against the ideology of the Sangh.
LoP Ajay Singh alleged RSS office bearer Kundan Chandrawat said the sentence in the presence of MP and local MLA. He claimed according to law no one could threaten or put illegal demand, on any platform, which hampered the harmony of the state. He claimed the law and order situation in the state was ‘out of order’.
“Not only this, but the statement of home minister Bhupendra Singh that ‘it’s a statement out of irritation due to the death of people in Kerala, and not a serious issue,’ is also irresponsible as it shows that the state government cannot take any action on its subsidiary unit RSS, which is not a good signal for democratic values,” he said.
Congress chief spokesperson KK Mishra demanded the CM should show his duty towards law and order and take strict action. RSS Sah Prachar Pramukh, JJ Nandkumar said the statement given by one of the orators Kundan Chandrawat, had nothing to do with the RSS official statement. Many speakers come and give their own thoughts during a function and the statement given by Chandrawat is his own personal thought. RSS condemns the statement given by Chandrawat and RSS believes in democratic values,” he said.
