MORENA: The Collector Vinod Sharma has said that Gaushala managers should ensure that stray cows are moved to Gaushalas within ten days. He also said that the construction work of 26 Gaushalas, which is lying unfinished, should be completed as soon as possible.
He was addressing officers and social workers associated with cow protection at a meeting at Collectorate on Saturday. District Panchayat CEP Anurag Verma and others were present.
The collector said that at least 10 cows should be kept in each Gaushala and arrangements for their fodder should be made by the social workers. Every Gaushala should have two Gausevaks. A register should be maintained in which the donations made by people should be entered. A bank account should be opened in the name of the Gaushalas and proper accounts of income and expenses should be maintained. He said that the Gaushalas which make innovations would be awarded. He said that the viability of using cow urine as an insecticide should be explored.
