Bhopal: There is good news for Bhopalites, the Milk Federation is soon going to supply cow milk in the city, a decision taken in view of the increasing demands of people for pure cow milk. The Bhopal Milk Federation, CEO, Jitendra Singh Raje said that presently the federation is supplying high fat and low fat milk from its Sanchi corners, however, looking at the demand of consumers we will soon come up with supply of pure cow milk at out parlours.
Raje informed that initially the cow milk will be supplied from Betul district as during a survey it was found that the district was producing ample quantity of cow milk. The processing of the milk will be carried out at Betul plant and it would take around three months to come up with unit which will handle cow milk processing separately there. “The milk route has been identified and the village level committee has been instructed to start separating the cow and buffalo milk. It will take around three months to supply the milk in the city,” said Raje.
In the pipeline, veggies at Sanchi parlours
The proposal of the most awaited scheme of Bhopal milk federation (BMF) to sell the vegetables through the Sanchi corner, has been submitted to the horticulture department for further action. In the city around 220 Sanchi corners are operational, the BMF and the horticulture department have planned to sell the vegetables on reasonable price.
The decision is being taken by the state government to help the farmers by buying surplus vegetables produced by them. The horticulture department will procure the products direct from the farmers and will sell it through Sanchi corner in the state capital. The citizens will get the vegetables on reasonable price and also the farmers will get better cost of their produce.
