MORENA: The ‘Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday’ campaign will be conducted in the district from April 14 to May 31. The collector Vinod Sharma took a meeting of all departmental heads of the district in connection with the campaign on Monday. District Panchayat CEO Anurag Verma, additional collector S.K. Mshra, all SDMs, CEOs of all Janpad Panchayats were among those present.
The collector said the objective of the campaign was to promote social harmony, strengthen Panchayati Raj, ensure development of villages and encourage people to partner in the schemes of Panchayat department. The campaign will be conducted in four phases. On Ambedkar Jayanti (April 14), the first Gram Sabha will be organised. This will be followed by the holding of Village Parliament for three days between April 15 and 30. In the last phase, to be run from May 22 to May 31, action-taken reports will be presented in Village Parliaments and the sanction letters will be distributed to the beneficiaries. It will be ensured that every village Panchayat has arrangements for villagers to view Doordarshan channels.
