Bhopal: Biting cold continued to hit normal life in many places of MP including state capital on Thursday. Datia, Gwalior and Betul districts are among the worst affected by the cold wave. Fresh western disturbance which has hit Jammu and Kashmir is likely to make Madhya Pradesh colder around January 11-12. Pachmarhi recorded a near freezing temperature of 3 degree Celsius while Khajuraho recorded 3.5 degree Celsius.
Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 22.4 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 7.0 degree Celsius which is 3.7 degree Celsius below normal. Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 23.4 degree Celsius and it recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4 degree Celsius. In state capital, weather remained totally dry and people felt frostiness in atmosphere. No relief is likely from biting cold for the next couple of days.
According to meteorology department fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect on January 11-12. It may cause scattered rain and snow will over Jammu and Kashmir. The rain and snow is likely to hit the states of northern regions also around this time.
