BHOPAL: It was six months back that the chief minister Shivraj Singh had announced that Rs 5000 will be given as award to the employees who were on duty for a month at Simhastha. But the announcement still remains unfulfilled.

The related file is stuck with the finance department. Around 36,000 employees are supposed to get this award. It would entail an expenditure of Rs 18 crores. The delay in disbursement of the award has created resentment among the employees, who were deployed at Ujjain from April 22 to May 21 during Simhastha.

Chouhan, had praised these employees, especially the police personnel.

An officer of additional director general of police (ADG) level maintains that the said amount is supposed to be released to the concerned departments by general administration department (GAD). Police department has not yet received the amount. Principal Secretary, GAD, Malay Shrivastava said the proposal is being processed. Chief minister had also announced that medals will be given to these employees.
