Ex-MLA Pooran Singh Bundela alleged that Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath was threatening him as he was campaigning against BJP candidate. “I am receiving life threats from Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, he may get me killed in fake encounter as I am campaigning against the home minister Bhupendra Singh Thakur,” alleged Bundela addressing a joint press conference with state Congress media president Sobha Oza, here on Monday.
Bundela said that he was canvassing for Congress candidate from Khurai constituency Arunoday Choubey and this has displeased BJP leaders as chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh and UP wanted him to support their party candidate. He claimed that he received two phone calls on his mobile each from UP and MP CM House seeking support for the BJP candidate.
Stating that Lalitpur (UP) constituency, from where he fought elections earlier, adjoins six constituencies of MP and thus he has visible influence in these areas. He claimed that police force from UP had come to arrest him, but due to public pressure they had to leave. “All this drama happened because BJP wanted to push me out from the election campaigning,” he alleged. A complaint had been submitted to SP Sagar in this regard, said the former MLA.
