Bhopal: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan dedicated safe monitoring and response centre on Thursday. He also dedicated the Dial-100 App, 150 motorcycles and 79 advance CCTV surveillance vehicles being linked with Dial-100 in the programme.
Addressing the function he said that MP has taught the country how to curb crime using advance techniques. He added that the PM Narendra Modi mentioned about MP in his Independence Day Function’s speech the speedy award of capital punishment given to the rapists in the state.
CM stated that technology will help in reducing crimes and enhance the feeling of safety among citizens. Dial-100 service will be developed further and number of CCTV cameras will be increased. Moreover, campaign will be conducted for CCTV cameras installation in private institutions also. He further mentioned that advance technique has played an important role in giving capital punishment to the rapists in the state. Madhya Pradesh has taught the country how to curb the crime by using advance techniques.
CM inspected the service being started from today and took darshan of Nagchandreshwar Mandir of Ujjain and Pitambara Peeth of Datia through CCTV. Additional director general of Police Upendra Jain apprised him about the services of response center.
It was informed that features like SOS Calling, provision of SMS and Location trackers are included in Dial-100 mobile App, which enable to send help immediately to persons in need. Two wheeler vehicles under Dial-100 will help to send assistance now in narrow lanes and roads. Monitoring of remote places could be done by advanced CCTV surveillance vehicles.
