BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan discussed various issues with his ministerial colleagues at a dinner on Thursday. He advised the ministers to handle transfers so carefully that there might not be any irregularity in shifting of officers. The chief minister also advised his ministerial colleagues to keep away from agents to avoid any slur on the government, as well as on their respective departments.
Chouhan said that each work should be done so efficiently that there might not any accusations against anyone. He also asked the ministers to visit the districts of which they were made in-charge. Besides holding government meetings, they should get feedback on the progress of various schemes from the districts, Chouhan added.
The BJPís state unit president, VD Sharma, and organisational general secretary, Suhas Bhagat, were also invited to the dinner, but, as they were out of the city, they could not take part in it.
Chouhan instructed the ministers that they should not disclose everything going on inside the government. The ministers have locked horns with one another at the previous three Cabinet meetings. Home minister Narottam Mishra had an altercation with officers and other ministers over the tenders of the Narmada Valley Development Authority. Several ministers were at loggerheads over giving facilities to sand contractors. Two ministers crossed swords over a presentation of the energy department.
Chouhan is worried about all these because such disputes among ministers went to the public. The ministers were also told that a few things should, of course, be kept secret.
