BHOPAL : The chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan was not only clicked while performing puja at famous Ramraja Temple at Orchha but the photographs were also uploaded on the social media – this when photography is strictly prohibited on the temple premises.

Chouhan had gone to Orchha to take part in the Katha of Murari Bapu. Four photographs of the CM performing puja at the temple were uploaded on his Twitter account, kicking up a controversy.

Former MLA Brijendra Singh Chauhan, who had represented the area in the Vidhan Sabha, talking to Free Press said that it was “unfortunate” that the chief minister had himself broken a rule.

He said that boards declaring “No Photography” in bold relief have been put up at numerous places on the temple premises. He also added that for the first time, commoners were not allowed to enter the temple when the chief minister was inside.

“They had to wait for over one and a half hours”, he said. Chauhan said that never in the past was entry banned into the temple no matter who was visiting the place”.
