Bhopal: CM Kamal Nath thanks farmers for hard work, loyalty

Bhopal: The hard work of farmers enabled Congress party to flutter the flag at Vidhan Sabha, said chief minister Kamal Nath while addressing Congress Kisan Sangh programme at PCC office here on Friday. The Congress party celebrated its 134th anniversary at PCC office where the CM hoisted the party flag. The members sang Vande Matram, Jhanda Uncha Rahe Hamara and the national anthem on the occasion.

Nath said, “People have faith in Congress party and on this day the leaders established the party and fought for the Indian Independence”.“The Congress is a party whose leaders were the freedom fighters, but from that party which claims nationalist party, did not even have a single leader who fought for the independence of the country,” the CM said.

Later addressing the Kisan Sammelan Nath stated, “I don’t know why thegovernments are ignorant towards the farmer’s benefits. 70 percent of thepopulation is involved in farming and their purchasing power is the way ofnation prosperity”.

 “The youths of the state did not want any contract, commission and others, they need only work for their hands,” he said. The party will fulfil the promises made in the Vahcn Patra, he added. Kisan Congress state president Dinesh Gurjer thanked the CM for waiving off farmers’ loan and claimed that the Sangh will work hard in the Lok Sabha elections for the victory of Congress.

He informed that to convey the message of the loan waiver, the Sanghwill take out the Kisan Vijay Rath Yatra from the birth anniversary of lateSubhas Chandra Bose on January 23. The Yatra will be organised in all 51 districtsand will visit the Kirshi Mandis besides redressing the farmers’ problem.
