Bhopal: CM Kamal Nath allocates departments, awards close confidante

Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Friday allocated ministries to his Cabinet ministers. He has kept kept important departments with him and allocated home department to Bala Bachchan. After three days wait, the CM distributed departments among his 28-member cabinet.

He has important department for himself like industrial policy and investment, public relation department, science and technology, Lok Seva Prabandhand department, NEI, technical education, skill development, employment and other departments not allotted to other ministers. Bala Bachchan, who is a close confidante of Nath, has been given home and jail. He will also look after departments kept by Nath.

Nath’s another confidante Tarun Bhanot has got finance, planning and statistics. Ex-CM Digvijaya Singh’s son Jaivardhan Singh has got prime Urban development and housing. All ministers wer Nath has used distribution of ministries to stamp his authority and come out of the shadow of Digvijaya Singh. He has also shown that he is taller than Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia. While Sajjan Singh Verma has got PWD and environment, Hukum Singh Karada has got water resources department.

Arif Aqueel has been allocated Bhopal gas rehabilitation, OBC and minority department, micro and medium industry department. The other ministers and their departments include, Brijendra Singh Rathore (commercial tax), Pradeep Jaiswal (mining), Lakhan Singh Yadav (animal husbandry and fisheries), Tulsi Silawat (public health and welfare), Govind Singh Rajput (revenue and transport), Imariti Devi (women and child welfare), Omkar Singh Markam (tribal welfare and de -notified tribes), Prabhuram Choudhary (school education), Priyavat Singh (energy department), Sukhdev Panse (PHE), Umang Singhar (forest), Harsh Yadav (cottage and gram udyog new and renewal energy), Jeetu Patwari (sports and youth welfare and higher education), Kamleshwar Patel (rural development), Lakhan Ghangoria (Social justice and schedule caste development), Mahendra Singh Sisodia (labour), PC Sharma (law and legal affairs and CM related works), Pradummn Singh Tomar (food and civil supply), Sachin Yadav (agriculture horticulture and food processing) and Surendra Singh Bhaghel (Narmada valley development and tourism).
