Bhopal: CM discusses administrative reshuffle

Bhopal: CM Shivraj Singh discussed the proposed administrative reshuffle of IAS officers at the rest house of Water Resources Department at Kerwan Dam on Friday.

After his interaction with the farmers at SIAET, he left straight for the guest house along with principal secretary Ashok Barnwal. Chief secretary Basant Pratap Singh was asked to join them. The CM discussed the reshuffle for about two hours with the officers. After reshuffle of collectors, Chouhan now wants to change the secretaries. Sources said the transfer list might be released in a day or two. Chouhan wants to make the changes keeping the upcoming assembly elections in view.

Many officers are awaiting postings. Among them is Sanjay Bandopadhyaya, who has returned from Central deputation. P Narhari, who was replaced by Nishant Warwade as collector of Indore while he was on training, joined duty at Mantralaya on Friday. He too has to be given a suitable posting.

Besides, many officers have completed three years on their posts. They include Rajneesh Vaish, Rajesh Rajora and Ajit Kesri among others, who too have to be shifted.

Orders for shifting of nine IAS officers were issued on Friday

CEO, zilla panchayat,Masood Akhtar of 2002 batch has been posted as additional secretary, rural development. Shamimuddin has been shifted in his place. Additional secretary SNS Chouhan of 2003 batch, has been shifted to department of tribal development. Deputy secretary, MP government Abhay Verma of 2007 batch is shited to home department with additional charge of tourism department. Deputy secretary Bharat Yadav of 2008 batch will be urban development, housing and environment deputy secretary. 2009-batch officer deputy secretary Dhanraju S is CEO of public health and family welfare department. Umesh Kumar, special assistant to former CM Digvijay Singh is now CEO, MP State AIDS COntrol Society. Shailbala Anjana Martin is CEO MP interstate transport authority. Rakesh Kumar Shrivastav is deputy secretary mineral resources department.
