BHOPAL: Light rains continued to drench the state capital on Friday. Throughout the day, drizzling to light rains continued to lash. On Friday, state capital registered 1.2mm rainfall by the evening. Cities like Ujjain, Shajapur, Indore and Pachmarhi recorded 32mm, 20mm, 14.6mm and 8mm rainfall respectively.
Heavy rain fall drenched Khandwa and Mandla which recorded 138mm and 110mm rainfall respectively in the last 24 hours. Tikamgarh recorded 40mm rainfall in single day.
In the last 24 hours it rained heavily in Southwest MP. Places like Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Khargone, and Khandwa were impacted by this rain. Umaria and Narsingpur respectively recorded 39.7 and 41mm rainfall, while Dhar and Indore recorded 49.3mm rainfall.
The Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area is still hanging around the areas of the northern parts of MP and South UP. This system has given spells over the last four days and particularly in the last 48 hours.
At temperature front, there was hardly a difference of two degree Celsius between day and night temperature in state capital and Indore. Bhopal recorded a max temperature of 26.1 degree Celsius which was 6.3 degree Celsius below normal while recorded a min temperature of 24.2 degree Celsius which was slightly above normal.
Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 24.0 degree Celsius which was 7.9 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 22.8 degree Celsius which was slightly below normal.
As per the meteorological department, the moderate to heavy rains will be in sight, more so in the next 24 hours. The central and eastern parts of the state like Sagar, Satna, Mandla, Rewa, Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, Hoshangabad, Harda, Damoh, Chhattarpur, Panna, Jabalpur, Katni, Ashok Nagar, Guna, Anuppur, Sheopur, Datia, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ujjain and Sidhi will see good rains. Hence, good showers are expected in the state of Madhya Pradesh in the next 24 hours.
