Bhopal: Three matches were played between in the Lt Prasun Sarang Memorial Cricket Tournament at the Gautam Nagar ground on Friday. Two soft-ball matches were played here on Friday. The first soft-ball match was played between DCC-11 and Ishan-11. Zeeshan-11 won the toss and elected to bowl first.
DCC-11 scored 132 runs in the given 8 overs at a loss of 4 wickets. Babar batted excellently and scored 30 runs off 18 balls. Chasing the score, Zeeshan-11 was able to score only 89 runs at a loss of 6 wickets and lost the match by 43 runs. Babar of DCC-11 was given man of the match. The second soft-ball match was played between Roshni-11 and Lucky-11. Roshni-11 won the toss, chose to bat and scored 85 runs at a loss of 8 wickets.
Shankar batted brilliantly and made 44 runs off 17 runs. Lucky-11 chased the target in 7 overs losing only 2 wickets and won the match by 8 wickets. One leather-ball match was played between NCC club and CCB club. NCC club won the toss, chose to bat and scored 204 runs in given 25 overs at a loss of 4 wickets. Prateek played an attacking innings of 73 runs in 58 balls. Chasing the score CCB club got all-out at 58 runs in 16 overs and NCC club won the match by 146 runs. Prateek was given man of the match.
